Fox Dock Blue Tours Jacket
The Fox Tours Jacket is a popular style amongst our Fox Ambassadors, due to its everyday functionality and classic design.
Styled in a traditional fashion with a foldover collar, along with a button-front construction, large patch pockets on the chest and hips, unlined inner, and a middle seam to the back of the garment.
Crafted using Fox Brothers' prestigious cloth, our take on the casual and timeless jacket, has since become one of our signature pieces. A true go-to staple as part of an effortlessly stylish wardrobe.
Elevated through subtle details, with an unlined inner to be in keeping with its traditional roots. This jacket blends utility style with modern flair, in order to add a touch of nostalgia to the piece.
The Fox Tours Jacket takes its name from Tours, France. The gateway city of the Loire Valley, with its half-timbered houses, bustling Place Plumereau, and period Saint-Gatien Cathedral. Expertly made in this historic city, the Fox Tours Jacket takes on earthy like pigments and shades inspired by its origins, all purposefully chosen to create an enriching garment full of historical character.
The garment features a revamped fit from that of its predecessor, making it more true to size for the modern-day man.

PROVENANCE [ FOX TOURS JACKET ]
Made in France, in the heart of the Indre department. Three generations of the Hervier family have passed down the company's skills.
To this day Monsieur Hervier keeps an eye on everything being made in the atelier, including the fine finishes such as the keyhole buttonholes and impeccable piped pockets. The passion for garment making is clear in their work.
Fox Brothers, the English woollen mill established in Somerset in 1772 is credited with being the originator of fine woollen and worsted flannels during the last century and is still said to produce the best in the world. According to style connoisseurs, when choosing flannel, “always be sure to ask for it (Fox) by name”.
Fox Brothers first developed ‘flannel’ in 1803 and to quote Esquire magazine, is still the “Standard Bearer” for this wonderfully soft cloth. Loved by tailors who appreciate the way it cuts "like a good butter', this wonderfully soft cloth has evolved over many years and is now available as suit lengths in varying designs and weights, exclusively on The Merchant Fox.
